Fitness information on the Web - Always Reliable?

Fitness information on the Web - Always Reliable?

Anyone who has ever tried researching fitness advice or weight loss information on the web knows there is a lot information and "information" out there.

One website says this, one website says that - we have heard it all. The best advice is to take it all with a grain of salt and to do as much research as you can. You might also try:
  • Talking with friends to see what has worked for them.
  • Speak with a personal trainer to see what they recommend.
  • Talk with your doctor to see if there is anything you should be aware of before beginning a work out regimen.
  • And lastly, taking a tour of the health club or gym near you that you are interested in, before signing up.
By taking a tour of the gym or health club, you can also speak to personal trainers, current members, staff, and others to find out what best fits your needs the pluses and minuses associated with that gym. One of our guests recently contacted a Martinez, Georgia health club and signed up as soon as she walked through the door. She had visited two other gyms and discovered that this one instantly felt like the place for her.

So when you are evaluating information on the web, make sure you take the knowledge learned here and apply it in the health club or fitness center near you.
